about
This is part 2 of a 17 minute improvisational session in the Papabubble basement on May 3rd, 2012 with Elliot Kurtz (Drums) and Willy Muse (Organ, Vocals). I only chopped it up to make two tracks for size and time reasons; nothing was cut out.
lyrics
I'm lying here its the bitter thrill of heat
But you know that too
You've brought me here to pull away your pithy thoughts of my head
Or what you've noticed
But it's not what you'd dream of
They're all shooting guns made of
The dreams you've never heard of
Eliminating thoughts
And taking over
It was just a simple day
I spent along the road
Catching butterflies
But you'd never guess that if you catch a bunch of those
What they'd smell like
When the'yre dead
'Cause weeds are such a pretty thing
They take over inhabitable space
Until they're weeded
If you could live wherever still and
Take a baby throw it in the wind to die
After it's copied your life
And on and on
And on and on
And so I've come to terms with standing on my own
As I infer what I would think was right
But it's not most of the time
It's such a bitter thing
To read your face in what you bore yourself
You're bored yourself so you decide
I'll try out something new this time
But what happens next
Say I'll try out something new this time
What happens when you hit the spot
The good old wave to get
Something better in your life
Just hear the chimes
Singing
La da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da
La da da da da
La da da da da da da da da da da da da La da da da da
Da da da da da da
Try out something new this time
What happens when you find
The spot
Try out something new this time
But you couldn't know without checking whether its not
The novelty will drown itself
It seldom tries
Eternity is left in wealth
On top never before
Another time
I'll try out something new this time
I'll try out something new this time
It seems far but I don't mind
Just to make sure it's right
You'd better make sure it's right
God I hope it's
This time
